Canada Egypt Business Council (CEBC) organized a great luncheon on 5th April 2004; where the guest of honor was H.E. General. Ahmed Shafik "Minister of Civil Aviation". The event was held in Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in Teeba Hall and it was extensively covered by all means of media & press. Its guests were from the most prominent businessmen in Egypt. It was honored by the attendance of H.E. Mamdouh El Beltagy "Minister of Tourism", H.E. Dr. Ali El Saidi " Minister of Indusry", H.E. Mr. Adly Hussein "Governor of El-Kaluobia", Dr. Fayza Abo El Naga "Minister of state for foreign affairs, H.E. Hassan Ahmed Younes "Minister of Electricity & Energy", H.E. Michelle DeSalaberry " Canadian Ambassador", in addition to 160 Members and Guests.
The Event was also attended by the pioneers in the aviation industry such as Lufthanza German Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Cessna Soussa, Abercromie & kent, Alkan Air, Iberia Airlines, Midwest & Royal Gordian Airlines.
H.E. General. Ahmed Shafik gave a brief speech about the strategy of the ministry towards the development of services and its impact on the private sector & then opened the door of questions & answers to all attendees.
