Schedule moved as follows:
On Sunday May 29th
The mission started in Toronto ; a briefing session was held for all mission participants.
Then a dinner was hosted by the Nile Association of Ontario with a special guest: Her Worship Hazel McCallion, Mayor of the City of Mississauga .
Monday May 30th
A Seminar " Business Opportunities in Egypt " was held in Toronto ;
Master of Ceremonies was:
Dr. Mohamed Azzam, President of CABC & President- containerboard, G.A. Paper International.
Speaker was:
Mr. Khalil Ramal, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, & Member of Provincial Parliament for London- Fanshawe, Government of Ontario
Then each Egyptian official gave a detailed presentation on different topics tackling his specialization.
Followed by Luncheon at Park Hyatt Toronto,
Speaker was:
Mr. Patrice Veilleux, Deputy Director, MiddleEast, International Trade Canada
Followed by 1/1 meetings for business men arranged by CABC.
Officials met with:
- Ms. Terry Comeau, Senior Vice President- HOK (a global provider of design & project delivery services and rank among the world's leading design firms)
- A meeting and tour at Bombardier Aerospace hosted by Mr. Barry Mackinnon, Vice President Marketing and Mr. Phillippe Poutissou, Director, International Airline Analysis. (Bombardier Aerospace is a world leader in the design and manufacture of innovative aviation products and services for the business, regional and amphibious aircraft markets)
Tuesday May 31st
Officials headed to meet:
- H.E David Miller, Mayor of the City of Toronto
- H.E. Mr. Joseph Cordiano, Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Government of Ontario .
Then all the mission departed to Sheraton Hotel Ottawa and had a special dinner hosted by:
H.E. Ambassador Mahmoud El Saeed at his residency.
Wednesday June 1st
Officials departed for Parliamentary visits, they met:
- H.E Daniel Hayes M.P, speaker of the Senate
- H.E. Peter Millinken M.P., Speaker of the House of Commons.
A meeting was held at Trade Facilitation office with Mr. Brian Mitchell for mission participants; TFOC is the primary Canadian provider of export training & marketing assistance for developing countries.
Officials went to meet with:
- H.E. Joseph Fontana, Minister of Labor and Housing and they discussed Human Resources & skills Development in Canada
Followed by a luncheon to all mission participants hosted by:
- Dr. Bernard Patry, M.P. Chairman of the standing committee on foreign affairs and International Trade, government of Canada at the parliament
then the mission took a tour in the parliament.
Officials met:
- Mr. John Klassen, M.P. Assistant Deputy Minister, Investment Science & Technology Branch, International Trade Canada
- Mr. Eric Siegel, Executive Vice President, Export Development Canada and Mr. Ihab Tadros, Regional Manager, Middle East
& then they all departed for Montreal
Thursday June 2nd
A Seminar "Business Opportunities in Egypt " was held in Montreal ;

Mr. Zoheir Chebl, Vice President, Middle East , SNC Lavalin International
Speaker was:
Mr. M. Richard Tremblay, Deputy Director General of the Ministered du Developpement economique, de l'innovation et de l' exportation, government of Quebec
Each Egyptian official gave a detailed presentation on different topics tackling his specialization.
Followed by Luncheon at the Omni Montreal Royal,
Speaker:
Dr. Bernard Patry, M.P. Chairman of the standing committee on foreign affairs and International Trade, government of Canada
Followed by 1/1 meetings for business me arranged by CABC.
Then, a Dinner hosted by:
H.E. Said Imam, Consul General of Egypt in Montreal at the consul's residency.
Friday June 3rd
All mission participants attended a breakfast hosted by H.E. Mr. Pierre Pettigrew, Minister of foreign Affairs, Government of Canada.
Followed by 1/1 meetings for business me arranged by CABC
Officials went to meet with:
Mayor of Montreal , H.E. Mr. Gerald Tremblay &then met Mr. Zoheir Chebl, Vice President, Middle East , SNC Lavalin International.
After that a Luncheon was hosted by the Canadian Egyptian Business Association in Montreal (CEBA)
And finally, a reception & dinner hosted by the Egyptian business community at the Crown Plaza Hotel.
